Contestant Guidelines 1. Contestants must have significant weight to lose (at least 20 lbs as a general rule) 2. Contestants must have a strong desire to change their life through weight loss and competition, and be open to different styles and techniques of training. 3. Contestants are responsible for their own workout and weight loss success, and must communicate with the coaches if there are any issues preventing them from losing weight or if there is any discomfort or pain as a result of the workouts. 4. Contestants must not take any weight loss supplements (metabolic enhancers or fat loss enhancing drugs) HOWEVER: Multi-vitamins and omega 3 supplements are OK. (Consequence = forfeit) Contestants must not dehydrate for purposes of weight loss. (Consequence = forfeit) - Not adhering to the program guidelines could result in a forfeit of individual prizes or in severe cases forfeit of the competition.
Competition is determined by PERCENTAGE of weight loss based on a contestants beginning weight. HOW TO DETERMINE PERCENTAGE OF WEIGHT LOST: Formula: Total weight lost / Starting weight = % Example: John lost 33 lbs in the program, and he started the program weighing 315 lbs. How to figure- 33/315 = 0.104 (move the decimal two to the right and you have your %) John lost a total of 10.4% during the program! Contestants must weigh in every week (Monday or Tuesday before their workout) (failure to do this lowers the integrity of the competition and may result in a forfeit of individual prizes at the end of the competition) in extreme cases, contestants must set up a time with their coach to weigh in ON MONDAY OR TUESDAY if they are unable to attend the scheduled weigh in.
